This competition takes place Friday at the Evening Dance. You can register for the competition at the time of registration or in person at any of the dances before the competition starts.
Bring your best solo jazz moves and be prepared to impress the judges with your rhythm and musicality.
Mix & Match Competition

Once again, CincyHop will be hosting a Mix and Match competition on Saturday night! The entry fee is $5. You will be able to register for the competition at the time of registration or in person at any of the dances before the competition starts.
In a Mix & Match competition, you register as an individual (no partner needed). You are randomly paired with a partner during the preliminary round (prelims) and switch partners to dance several songs. If you are selected for the finals, you will be randomly paired with a partner for the entire final round.
The competition is open to all. If you’ve never competed before, this is a great time to give it a shot! We will be offering passes to regional events or cash prizes.

Housing
When registering please indicate if you can provide or are requesting housing. Guaranteed housing closes July 21st

$ 70-weekend pass
We are encouraging high school and college students with an anytime Early Bird rate of $70 for the full weekend of events. Please register online, especially if you would like to order add-ons or need housing, and select student to get the discount. You will be asked to show your ID at event check-in. If you do not have a valid student ID at check-in you will be required to make up the difference and pay the door price.
Payment Information
CincyHop attendees pay to reserve their spot at events, and CincyHop uses that payment to make the event happen.
This means we cannot offer full refunds. Instead, you can transfer your pass to the next year’s event. The transfer applies to you only and only for the following calendar year. You must contact CincyHop via email and receive emailed acknowledgment of the request for the pass transfer to be complete. Pass transfer requests are normally due at the same time that housing closes before an event (customarily roughly two weeks prior to the event). Your early registration helps us fund the event sooner and take care of our band and venue deposits and payments on time. Please be mindful of our payment options when you register.
You can either pay via PayPal (no additional fees and easy for you and us), cash, or check payment. Your PayPal payment must be completed at the time of registration (cash and check payments made within 2 weeks), or your registration will not be recorded and you will be required to pay the current price tier’s rate.
